Notes according to § 18 paragraph 3 ElektroG

End users are obliged to supply waste electrical equipment with a separate collection from unsorted municipal waste. This means that waste electrical equipment must not be disposed of in normal household waste, but must be returned as part of the existing collection points, in particular for public disposal companies, distributors and manufacturers. This is expressed by the symbol of the crossed out garbage can. Numerous distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are obliged to take back old electrical equipment free of charge according to the criteria of Section 17 (1) and (2) ElektroG. End users are also obliged to use used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old device, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old device without being destroyed, to be disconnected from the old device without destruction before being handed in at a detection point. Finally, it should be pointed out that end users themselves are responsible for deleting personal data on the waste electrical equipment to be disposed of before being handed over to a collection point.

Manufacturers have to publish the fulfillment of the targets according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act ( ElektroG ) annually. The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety publishes information on this.

Notes according to § 18 paragraph 1 of the Battery Act

Since batteries and rechargeable batteries may be included in our shipments, we are obliged under the Battery Act ( BattG ) to inform you of the following:
Batteries and batteries must not be disposed of in household waste, but you are legally obliged to return used batteries. used batteries can contain pollutants that can damage the environment or your health if stored or disposed of improperly. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as Iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. After use, you can either send the batteries back to us or in the immediate vicinity ( e.g. in retail or in municipal collection points or in our shipping warehouse ) returned free of charge. The supply in sales outlets is limited to the usual quantities for end users as well as those used batteries that the distributor has or has listed as new batteries in his range. The sign with the crossed-out garbage can means that you must not dispose of batteries in household waste.
